The logo evolved slowly over many months and the stimulating ideas put forward by Diana Kaneps, Frank Gordon and John Fox together with reactions from many Trust members eventually bore fruit. We particularly wanted a design which was simple, and not too fussy, and which had easily recognizable strong elements associated with Craven representing the main topics of interest to the Trust. We chose to portray one of our distinctive mountains and a river in a landscape, framed by stone carving typical of dated headstones.
